Boiled Cookies A La Elkton
These no-bake treats, also known as Boiled Cookies, are quick and easy to make without ever turning on the oven. The recipe involves cooking a base of sugar, milk, cocoa, and margarine to a full rolling boil for a specified short time. This hot mixture is then quickly stirred into a blend of quick cooking oats, peanut butter, and vanilla, creating a glossy, chewy cookie dough that is simply spooned onto waxed paper to cool and set into a classic chocolate-peanut butter delight.
